General Maintenance with Emphasis in Plumbing
JOB GOALS:
To perform maintenance work that will help to maintain the school district buildings, grounds, and equipment in the best working order possible. Advise on all current and future needs of the district. Be able to troubleshoot and identify plumbing and electrical campus issues. Train maintenance team members plumbing and electrical skills for future certification.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Have a good working knowledge of all electrical and power equipment.
Ability to lift 75 pounds. Ability to climb a ladder.
Project a positive image and cooperative attitude to staff and students of the Camdenton R-III School district.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Demonstrates aptitude or competence for assigned responsibilities.
2. Repairs lighting fixtures, electrical apparatus, fixtures, wiring and similar electric elements in all school owned facilities.
3. Repairs pipes, drains, and plumbing fixtures in all school facilities.
4. Performs maintenance of outdoor sprinklers, waste disposal systems, radiators, boilers, and similar plumbing related installations.
In addition, the successful candidate must be willing and able to assist with the following:
1. At the end of the heating season, drain, flush and repair all boilers in preparation for inspections.
2. Service vent fans, clean and/or change filters.
3. Maintain and repair freezers, coolers, and air conditioner units.
4. Snow and ice removal.
5. Mow and maintain campus grounds and athletic facilities.
6. Performs minor carpentry repair work, constructs new furniture and equipment as required. 7. Prepares all athletic facilities for competitive events.
8. Special event setups and teardowns in the various buildings on campus.
9. District-wide delivery of cleaning supplies, copy paper, other paper products/paper goods. 10. District-wide freight delivery.
11. District-wide delivery of buddy-packs.
12. Pick up mail from and deliver mail to the U.S. Post Office.
13. Pick up mail from buildings and deliver it to the Administration office.
14. Assist with morning and afternoon traffic direction.
15. Performs other appropriate duties as assigned.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
Forty (40) hours weekly; paid benefits after a min. 30 day probationary period. A thirty (30) minute lunch period is not included in the forty hours.
General Maintenance Starting Wage: $15.90 - $16.10 / hour
Specialized Maintenance Starting Wage: $20.80 - $21.15 / hour.
