- Possess knowledge and skills in cooking steaks to guests' preferred temperature, including rare, medium-rare, medium, medium-well, and well-done. Maintain consistency and precision in achieving the desired level of doneness.
- Demonstrate proficiency in cooking steaks to guests' preferred temperature, including rare, medium-rare, medium, medium-well, and well-done, maintaining consistency and precision.
- Present dishes in an aesthetically pleasing manner that aligns with the restaurant's high standards, ensuring each plate is visually appealing.
- Apply a variety of cooking techniques, such as grilling, broiling, searing, roasting, and sautéing, to create exceptional flavors and textures with finesse and attention to detail.
- Season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience.
- Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients accurately using various kitchen utensils and equipment.
- Effectively communicate to coordinate the timing and plating of dishes, ensuring a smooth dining experience.
- Assess foods for proper cooking by tasting, smelling, or using utensils to determine doneness.
- Operate and maintain kitchen equipment, promptly reporting any malfunctions or maintenance needs for a safe and efficient kitchen environment.
- Maintain production knowledge and uphold attention to detail regarding taste and quality.
- Produce products in a cost-effective and hygienic manner.
- Provide support to Lead Line Cooks as needed.
- Continuously strive to improve operational procedures in a high-end setting.
- Properly label and date all products for rotation, safekeeping, and sanitation purposes.
- Ensure superior food quality and take action to address any irregularities.
- Maintain proper functioning and maintenance of kitchen equipment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a clean and organized kitchen environment.
- Smile and engage guests and team members with a positive professional demeanor.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU’LL BRING
- Ability to obtain a Class III B gaming license
- Knowledge of health & safety standards, and safety regulations as required.
- Previous experience Line Cook experience in a fine dining setting preferred.
- Two (2) year certificates from an accredited culinary program or a minimum of 2 (Two) years' experience in an upscale dining kitchen required.
- Must maintain a valid WA State Health Card/Food Handler permit.
