Job Description:

SCOPE: The Director of the Tumor Registry is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the MBPCC and Regional Tumor Registry (c16 parishes in SE Louisiana) program. This includes oversight of cancer data collection, reporting, and compliance with national and state standards. The Director ensures the registry supports institutional goals in cancer surveillance, research, and quality improvement as well as the oversight and maintenance of the CoC Accredited programs of MBPCC.

QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Public Health, or related field required. Master’s preferred.
• Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) credential required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in cancer registry operations, including 2 years in a leadership role.
• Demonstrated knowledge of SEER*DMS, Registry Plus, and CoC standards.
• Experience managing state contracts and regulatory reporting.
• Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
