Job Location: Monterey, CA (Travel up to 45%)
POSITION SUMMARY
The Quality Control Manager is responsible for overseeing product quality and food safety across the supply chain. This role ensures compliance with company standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations while providing clear and timely feedback to stakeholders. An important part of the position includes evaluating crop quality in the field and producing professional updates — including video reports — to support internal communication and marketing initiatives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor and analyze product quality and food safety performance throughout the supply chain.
- Conduct field assessments for crop quality and availability; prepare and deliver professional reports.
- Document, investigate, and resolve customer complaints in a timely manner.
- Track, analyze, and report quality control data, trends, and root cause analyses.
- Evaluate and approve new vendors; maintain vendor documentation.
- Conduct vendor and distributor quality and food safety assessments.
- Support and maintain third-party audit programs and databases.
- Review, update, and implement quality assurance and food safety programs, SOPs, and manuals.
- Capture field-based video and written updates on product quality to support Marketing.
- Lead field tours for customers and distributors as needed.

Requirements
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIRED
- 5–7 years of experience in agriculture and/or food quality management required.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate technical findings into professional reports and presentations.
- Comfortable using video to communicate product quality updates from the field.
- Ability to operate in field environments; valid driver’s license required.
- Willingness to travel up to 45%.
- Strong collaboration skills, with demonstrated ability to work effectively across teams and with external partners.
