As an IT Systems and Network Specialist, you will be responsible for providing daily technical support for a wide range of devices and software across our school district. This is a hands-on role where you will work closely with the Director of IT and Curriculum, Manager of Information Technology Services and Desktop Support Specialists to ensure our technology systems run smoothly and efficiently. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure IT systems are fully functional and provide timely and high-quality support to our district's staff and students. You will report to the Manager of Information Technology Services.
Key Responsibilities:
Hardware and Software Support: Install, configure, and upgrade district technology, including policy development and deployment to Windows/Mac/Chrome OS workstations, and other network devices.
Network Fundamentals: Perform diagnosis and troubleshooting of computer and network issues. Apply knowledge of routing, VLAN, and switch management.
Wireless Network Management: Use an enterprise-class network system to manage district resources
Security & Compliance: Ensure that all deployed IT assets comply with the District's security policies.
Helpdesk Management: Utilize our helpdesk ticket system to effectively and promptly troubleshoot, repair, and install software on IT assets deployed throughout the district.
Problem-Solving & Adaptability: Manage multiple responsibilities in a timely manner and demonstrate the ability to adapt to changing priorities. Quickly and effectively assimilate new knowledge.
Collaboration & Teamwork: Work effectively as a team member, sharing information and resources, and contributing to the development and implementation of IT procedures and policies.
Communication: Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing, with IT colleagues, teachers, administrators, and external vendors.
Additional Duties: Assume other duties and responsibilities as directed by the Manager of Information Technology Services and Director of IT and Curriculum.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or network certifications (such as CompTIA Network +, CISCO CCST, CISCO CCNA) is required.
Technical Skills:
Understanding of Microsoft operating systems and Microsoft networking, including group policy management
Understanding of Chrome OS, Google Admin Console, and Google Suite for Education.
Experience iOS along with MDM or similar enterprise management solutions.
Proficiency in PowerShell script writing for automation and system management
Ability to learn and troubleshoot new systems quickly
Experience with managing both physical and virtual servers
Soft Skills:

A strong willingness to learn and grow.
Salary Range:
$60,000 - $70,000
