Alvernia University’s ACBSP-accredited Header School of Business invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor of Sport Management position beginning August 2026.
Required Qualifications:
A Ph.D. in Sport Management or a closely related field from an accredited institution is required. Prior teaching experience is preferred. Successful candidates will demonstrate:

About the School:
The Header School of Business, located in Alvernia’s state-of-the-art Reading CollegeTowne facility, offers technology-driven classrooms, a business lab equipped with Bloomberg Terminals, and opportunities for collaboration through the O’Pake Institute for Entrepreneurship and Economic Development. We support scholar-practitioners who engage in applied research and experiential learning that connects theory with practice.

Teaching Responsibilities:
Teaching assignments may include:
- Undergraduate, graduate, and accelerated adult courses.
- Off-site corporate education and online or hybrid delivery formats.
Candidates are expected to incorporate high-impact teaching practices, including service learning, experiential learning, action research, and innovative pedagogy.
