Our programs service adults, children, and families. Your role will be essential to our success, and your efforts will influence our ability to provide treatment to our community.

Schedule: 

Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:00pm, 9:00am-5:30pm, or 9:30am-6:00pm (Some evenings and weekends as needed) 

Competencies:

The potential employee will have the ability assess and interpret information related to population; have knowledge of the symptoms of the disability/disorder and ability to recognize exacerbation of symptoms; have a general understanding of treatment needs; knowledge of available treatment resources and appropriate use; knowledgeable about the legal system, Population-specific communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Share lived experiences (if applicable)

• Help navigate the recovery journey and legal services.

• Help address legal and social issues preventing access to needed services for individuals with a Substance Use Disorder.

• Follow all agency and judicial guidelines during court attendance

• Regular communication and collaboration with the partnering legal service agency

• Facilitate service linkage in the mental health and non-mental health, health system; coordinating and integrating services from multiple providers

• Provide advocacy for those in recovery from substance use and or co-occurring with mental health disorders

• Provide direct service support including: transportation, coordinating treatment team meeting; filing applications for services; advocacy; escort to legal and non-legal appointments; daily living skill remediation

• Provide necessary resources to assist with housing linkage (if applicable)

• Maintain an individual’s clinical record (electronically) that accurately reflects all services provided on a timely basis and meets Agency and funding source standards

• Complete Daily Activities in the Electronic Clinical Record

• Follow documentation standards based on state and program requirements

• Meet level of service and care guidelines identified by the contract and program leadership

• Engage with individuals in community locations including but not limited to court, residence, program, and Oaks facilities.

• Provide additional documentation required for clearance into other non-Oaks facilities (as needed)

• Collaborate with the Attorneys, Clinical Team, and other stakeholders

• Travel throughout the state of New Jersey, and out of state travel in the tri-state area (as needed)

• Cooperate with all investigations, internal and externally

• Flexibility to meet the needs of the individuals by being available evenings and weekends (as needed)

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s Degree or above OR;
  • Lived experience with high school diploma or equivalent OR;
  • Certified Peer Recovery Specialist OR ability to obtain within 6 months of hire (preferred);
  • Valid Driver's License in good standing required
