The Business and Economics Department of Wheaton College (Illinois) invites applications for the Carl R. Hendrickson Distinguished Chair of Business in the disciplines of marketing or accounting, with a start date of July 1, 2026. The endowed chair provides both a reduced teaching load and a project budget to facilitate research and co-curricular initiatives. Teaching responsibilities include multiple sections of an introductory course in respective disciplines as well as related upper-division elective courses, which will be based on the successful candidate’s interests and experience.
A doctoral degree is required. Candidates with doctoral degrees in related disciplines are also encouraged to apply. For this position, a robust research, teaching, and mentoring record that supports an appointment to associate or full professor is necessary. Candidates should have a strong commitment to the liberal arts and the ability to integrate Christian values into their teaching. The budgeted salary range for the position is $97,000 to $130,000. The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate, including equivalent years in rank, training, and field or discipline.
