The Salesforce Marketing Cloud Administrator plays a key role in executing personalized marketing campaigns across multiple brands within the organization. This role focuses on CRM list segmentation, campaign execution (email and SMS), and automation management in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC).
The ideal candidate combines hands-on technical ability with an understanding of digital marketing best practices. This person ensures that marketing communications are accurate, timely, and aligned with business goals across all brands.
Key Responsibilities
CRM List Segmentation & Data Management
- Build and maintain audience segments using Data Extensions, Filters, and SQL Query Activities.
- Manage subscriber keys, contact data models, and relationships within Contact Builder.
- Maintain data integrity across multiple business units, ensuring synchronization with CRM and external systems.
- Implement segmentation logic based on customer lifecycle, service category, or behavioral data.
- Uphold data privacy and compliance standards (CAN-SPAM, TCPA, GDPR).
Campaign Execution (Email, SMS, and Journeys)
- Create, test, and deploy email and SMS campaigns in SFMC using Content Builder and Mobile Studio.
- Configure Journey Builder automations and triggered sends across multiple brands.
- Apply personalization, dynamic content, and decision logic to ensure relevance and accuracy.
- Conduct end-to-end QA of creative, data, and links before deployment.
- Monitor campaign performance and assist with reporting and post-campaign analysis.
Platform Administration
- Manage SFMC users, roles, and permissions.
- Oversee send classifications, IP warming, and platform configurations.
- Support data imports, integrations, and scheduled automations.
- Document processes, workflows, and campaign setup guides.
- Stay up to date on SFMC product updates and new feature releases.
Collaboration
- Partner with brand marketing teams to define targeting, frequency, and content logic.
- Coordinate with creative and content teams to ensure deliverability and brand consistency.
- Work closely with CRM and analytics stakeholders to optimize segmentation and data hygiene.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience in Salesforce Marketing Cloud (Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Contact Builder).
- Strong understanding of data segmentation, personalization, and CRM-driven marketing.
- Experience executing email and SMS campaigns in a fast-paced, multi-brand environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple simultaneous campaigns.
- Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets for data validation and QA.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Working knowledge of AMPscript and HTML/CSS for advanced personalization and troubleshooting.
- Familiarity with Einstein tools (Send Time Optimization, Engagement Scoring).
- Intermediate SQL experience for complex audience queries.
- Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist or Administrator certification.
- Experience integrating SFMC with Salesforce CRM or other data systems.

Salary range for this position: $75,000 - $85,000
