Position Overview

The Senior Manager of Technology will play a critical role in supporting the VP of Technology in delivering a world-class, technology-driven experience at One Times Square. This role will focus on overseeing day-to-day technology operations, managing systems integrations, supporting ticketing platforms, and ensuring the seamless performance of AV, signage, and critical business systems. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, solutions-oriented leader who excels at managing teams, collaborating across departments, and ensuring operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.   

Key Responsibilities

Technology Operations & Infrastructure

  • Manage the ongoing maintenance, optimization, and secure operation of IT infrastructure, networks, and riser systems in the building.  

  • Oversee network troubleshooting, hardware issues, and server uptime to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.  

  • Collaborate with vendors and service providers to ensure high-performance internet service (ISP) and network reliability.  

  • Support AV equipment, digital signage, and immersive technology deployments, ensuring these systems perform flawlessly for internal operations and external visitors.  

Ticketing, Guest Access, & System Reliability

  • Provide hands-on technical expertise for ticketing systems, including integration with CRM, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and third-party platforms.  

  • Work closely with stakeholders to streamline ticketing operations, including online and on-site purchases, reconciliations, and fraud prevention strategies.  

  • Lead efforts to optimize operational workflows for guest admissions, aligning processes with business goals and revenue streams.  

  • Ensure uptime and performance for transactional systems, coordinating with vendors as needed for technical escalations.  

Business Intelligence, Applications & Systems Integration  

  • Assist in managing the integration and ongoing maintenance of enterprise systems, including CRM, ERP, and other business applications.  

  • Support the development of dashboards, reporting tools, and analytics frameworks, delivering actionable insights to department leaders.  

  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify system inefficiencies and recommend data-driven technology solutions.  

  • Partner with the VP of Technology on implementing new business processes and tools to improve interdepartmental collaboration.  

Team & Vendor Management  

  • Lead a team of IT specialists, contractors, and vendors to ensure exceptional service delivery and innovation.  

  • Act as the primary point of contact for third-party technology vendors, holding them accountable for service level agreements (SLAs).  

 

Strategic Collaboration

 

  • Partner with the VP of Technology and leadership to execute the organization’s digital innovation roadmap, contributing fresh ideas to enhance operational efficiency and guest experiences.  

 

  • Provide feedback and support for long-term strategic technology initiatives, helping bridge the gap between technical execution and business vision.        

 

  • Stay informed of emerging technology trends in the attractions, entertainment, or hospitality industry, recommending innovative solutions to ensure One Times Square remains an industry leader.  

 

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, engineering, or a related field preferred (relevant work experience may substitute for formal education).  

  • 7+ years experience in IT or technology operations, ideally within attractions, entertainment, or hospitality environments.  

  • Strong background in managing AV systems, ticketing platforms, networks, and business-critical applications.  

  • Hands-on experience with CRM, ERP, business intelligence tools, and advanced reporting.  

  • Knowledge of cyber and data security protocols, infrastructure deployments, and system integration best practices.  

  • Experience supporting digital signage, AV/interactive technology, firewall management, and building network management.  

  • Familiarity with high-traffic transactional systems and fraud prevention.  

  • Proven ability to lead operational teams and vendors while managing multiple ongoing technical initiatives.  

  • Strong troubleshooting skills, process-driven mindset, and a quick learner who thrives in a dynamic environment.  

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required.
