Summary

The Mechanical Claims Training Administrator creates, updates and organizes departmental and functional training programs for claims adjusters. This position has limited decision-making as problems can generally be evaluated in terms of defined procedures or precedents. This role trains new employees and assists departmental personnel with ongoing growth and development.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conducts presentations and training sessions for mechanical claims adjusting staff.  
  • Serves as the primary trainer for new employees within the mechanical claims environment
  • Provides feedback to managers and leadership on employee onboarding process. 
  • Researches, plans and coordinates training programs in conjunction with audit and leadership team for claims adjusters.  
  • Writes initial draft material for new training programs; reviews, evaluates and modifies existing and proposed programs; recommends appropriate changes.  
  • Evaluates training program qualification tests and determines eligibility of prospective attendees.  
  • Prepares and distributes training aids such as instructional material, handouts, evaluation forms and visual aids for ongoing training.  
  • Conducts additional presentations when necessary.
    • Monitor Claims team for meeting Fair Claims Practices requirements for all underwriter requirements. May also assist in tracking other regulatory training and certifications, such as MBI licensing.
  • Partner with organizations training department on company delivered training.  Includes assistance in content development and repository management.  

 

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of training and work experience
  • Property & Causality License: Preferred, but not required
  • 4+ years of previous supervisory/coaching, team management experience, or technical Claims experience required. 
  • Prior Call Center experience and mechanical automative claims experience required. 
  • Mechanical Industry knowledge required
    • Experience in creation of lesson plans, source materials and multimedia presentations for training. 
    • Experience with powerpoint, video editing software, excel and word.
  • Experience in utilizing AI to create content

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to type and look at a computer screen for long periods of the day. Occasional travel, including overnight, may be required.
