Job Summary
Massanutten Resort infrastructure growth requires dedicated Fiber Installation Technicians. This full-time position plays a key role in the development and maintenance of our fiber optic network, ensuring high-performance connectivity across the resort's facilities. Will be responsible for operating equipment, installing conduit and fiber pathways, and assisting with fiber pulls in both outdoor and new construction environments. Previous experience in fiber installation is a plus, but training is available.
Required
Valid driver’s license and an approved driving record
Must be at least 18
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow verbal and written directions
Ability to work independently and as part of a larger team
Willingness to learn technical aspects of fiber installation and assist with splicing preparation
Preferred
Previous experience in fiber installation
Experience operating a trencher or similar machinery
Basic knowledge of fiber optics, cabling, and/or construction

Days:
Monday-Thursday
Hours:
7am-5:30pm; additional hours as needed
Core Responsibilities
- Operate trenching equipment to create underground pathways for fiber infrastructure
- Install innerduct and conduit in trenches, buildings, and other designated routes
- Perform fiber pulls through new construction and underground conduit systems
- Assist the Fiber Splicer Technician with preparing, organizing, and handling fiber optic cable
- Support installation planning by reviewing layouts, maps, and schematics as needed
- Maintain safe and clean work environments, complying with all safety standards and resort policies
- Assist with documenting installation activities and reporting progress to supervisors
- Use hand tools, power tools, and light machinery as required
- Perform occasional site cleanup and restoration following installations
- Other duties as assigned by management
