Responsibilities:- Provide leadership and coordinate review efforts for verification and validation work related work efforts in the Electrical Engineering discipline.
- Review design review comments submitted by junior engineers and advise decisionmakers on considerations for high impact and critical design review decisions.
- Coordinate and lead review and adjudication of system design specifications, test requirements, Departures from Specification (DFS’s), Request for Waiver (RFW),
- Engineering Changes (EC’s). Lead effort to evaluate new or modified electronics on overall system performance.
- Extensive knowledge of U.S. Navy Power Distribution Architecture.
- Extensive Knowledge of USN, USCG, ABS and/or commercial ship design rules and regulations
- Provide mentorship to junior electrical engineers.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineer, Ocean Engineering, Marine Engineering or related field
- Active Secret Clearance or ability to obtain a clearance
- U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance
- 15 years’ documented experience working in one of the following specialized fields: electric propulsion, machinery control, power generation or distribution systems
