Summary
The Project Planning Analyst Associate will support senior team members in ensuring that the billing process accurately reflects contract terms and conditions within the Construction Services department of the Distribution Services (DS) organization. The Planning Analyst Associate will assist in consolidating various internal and external issues related to billing operations and systems. This position will present a summary of issues to senior team members for resolution and assist with the execution of solutions.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Effectively communicate with external and internal personnel to ascertain and address billing issues, inquiries, and troubleshoot basic billing system errors in a timely manner
- Work with senior team members and other organizational teams to develop processes and operational improvements
- Ability to quickly learn various software platforms
- Assist in the training of internal and external users on the usage and functionality of the Oncor electronic billing system
- Facilitate new users’ requests validations for the Oncor electronic billing system and resolve user account issues
- Set up special project assignments for contractors and certify invoices in the Oncor electronic billing system
- Assist with monitoring contractor compliance with contract specifications and notify senior team members of non-compliance
- Assist in improving the existing processes, maintaining process documentation (guides and SOPs), and procedures
- Ensure users are correctly updating and utilizing trackers as required, and responsible for supporting routine report maintenance
- Timely certification of invoices submitted by construction services contractors
- Maintaining an issue log pairing up issues with known solutions
- Ensuring billing groups and user surrogacies are setup correctly on the Oncor electronic billing system
- Creating manual invoices and Purchase Orders
- Ability to work in team of cross functional individuals
- Perform all essential aspects and functions of the job as well as any other specific job requirements
Skills
- Working experience with Excel is required, and Access knowledge
- Ability to work well under pressure and with some supervision
- Attention to detail & strong organizational skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of internal and external team members, both verbally and in writing
- Ability to accomplish results through others, particularly by establishing relationships, effective controls and monitoring process
- Effective analytical, critical thinking and problem identification/resolution skills
Education and Experience
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent required
- Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in a related discipline is encouraged to apply
- Experience in the utility or construction industry is encouraged to apply
- Experience in data, financial, or technical analysis is encouraged to apply
- Applicants with 1 plus year of directly related work experience are encouraged to apply
