The AEC intern program is designed to provide firsthand working knowledge of engineering activities at AEC. The candidate will develop valuable problem solving skills while assisting with the support of existing programs as well as the development of new products and processes.
This internship position is being offered for the summer of 2025 - to begin in May '26 and end in August '26, with flexibility based on semester start/end dates.
Key Duties/Responsibilities:
A task list of assignments will be provided to the engineering student and he/she will receive support from the AEC engineering staff to accomplish them. The student may be given the responsibility to find solutions to specific engineering activities in support of current program development efforts. Some of the activities and responsibilities may include:
- Assist the lead Process Engineer (PE) and assigned program team on a program to develop or improve manufacturing methods and processes in the production of conforming parts and assemblies.
- Assist R&T Engineers with the investigation and development of new products and processes
- Work with the PE to define problems and develop, implement and validate solutions
- Support the preparation of production documentation
- Support strategic initiatives for improving organizational efficiency and reducing cost
