Job Title: Billing & Title Manager
Reports To: Liz Bolyard
Employment Type: Full-Time
Pay Range: $65,000-$80,000
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee billing and title operations across multiple dealership locations
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of vehicle sales, title applications, and registrations
- Maintain compliance with all applicable state and federal DMV regulations
- Lead and develop a team of billing and title clerks, including training, support, and performance management
- Collaborate with sales, finance, and service departments to ensure complete and accurate deal documentation
- Serve as the primary liaison with DMV offices and regulatory agencies
- Investigate and resolve title discrepancies, lien releases, and customer inquiries
- Continuously improve billing and titling workflows for accuracy and efficiency
- Prepare documentation and reports for audits and internal reviews
- Regular reconciliation with store leaders on outstanding titles or unfunded deals, focus on process improvement
- Stay informed on changes in titling laws, DMS systems, and compliance requirements
- Lead and develop the team, promote a positive culture that supports the stores, and provide great customer service
- Perform other duties, tasks, and projects as assigned
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in automotive billing and title processing, preferably in a multi-location dealership
- 2+ years of supervisory or management experience
- Strong knowledge of state and federal titling regulations and compliance standards
- Proficiency with DMS platforms such as CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds, Dealertrack, or similar
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong problem-solving and resolution skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- High level of integrity and confidentiality
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with electronic titling systems (e.g., EVR, ELT, DLR50, Dealertrack)
- Familiarity with Tekion or other emerging DMS platforms
- Background in high-volume or multi-brand dealership operations
- Experience with process improvement or automation initiatives
Physical Demands
- Frequent movement within the corporate office and dealership locations
- Sitting, standing, reaching, and bending within a desk or cubicle environment
- Regular use of computers and OEM-required electronic systems
- Safety eyewear required in dealership service departments
- Hard-toed and slip-resistant footwear required in service areas
