Sanitation Forklift Operator at 1-800-FLOWERS.COM, INC

The Clean-Up Crew in the Manufacturing areas performs general clean-up duties and support for a sanitary work environment. This position on occasion will also be responsible for the safe operation of forklift trucks, used to move, locate, relocate, stack and materials and products.

• Performs heavy cleaning duties such as cleaning floors, sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming them, dumping trash cans, working from ladders, washing belts, cleaning floor drains and adjacent areas.
• This position requires following instructions and established processes and procedures.
• This position requires reading English and understanding warning labels on cleaning products.
• Mix water and detergents or acids in containers to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications.
• Proper use sanitation tools, broom, dust mop, wet mop, dust pan and shovel.
• Works in a safe and sanitary manner, and follows all regulatory requirements
• Works in a timely and speed-oriented environment.
• Certified to operate Forklift trucks
• Performs other duties as assigned.
