Scope of Position: The Program Director is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the program, including the supervision of Case Managers and social service staff, ensuring high-quality service delivery to clients from admission through discharge. This role involves managing personnel functions such as hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations in collaboration with the Area Director. The Program Director ensures compliance with regulatory standards, prepares for audits and reviews, monitors program data and outcomes, and maintains accurate administrative records. Additional responsibilities include coordinating with Property Management on maintenance issues, being available for 24-hour crisis intervention, and participating in meetings, supervision, and staff development activities.
Essential Position Functions:
Supervise Case Managers and social service staff in conjunction with the Area Director. Oversee delivery of client services, including program admission, ongoing operations, and discharge.
Ensure the program is prepared for successful DOHMH audits and reviews. Complete monthly data collection to monitor services and track trends in census, attendance, incidents, and funder outcomes.
Be available on-call for 24-hour crisis intervention. Attend meetings as requested and be willing to work nights and/or weekends as needed.
Manage personnel activities in conjunction with the Area Director, including hiring, shift scheduling, policy and procedure development, staff meetings, case conferences, training, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and labor/management issues.
Perform all required administrative duties, including reviewing the accuracy of data entry in electronic databases, monitoring performance measures, managing petty cash, and tracking staff attendance.
Conduct ongoing assessments of apartment maintenance needs and serve as liaison with external Property Management staff regarding repairs.
Attend staff meetings, supervision sessions, and trainings as required.
Perform any other duties as assigned.
Requirements
MSW or Master’s degree in a related field.
Experience working with mental health, crisis intervention, and managing trauma-triggered behavior.
Excellent time management, communication, and organizational skills.
Must be stress-resistant, flexible, a team player, open to feedback, and creative.
Willingness to perform CPR, First Aid, AED, Crisis Intervention, and administer Naloxone.
Experience supervising clinical staff.
Knowledge of AWARDS preferred.
Spanish speaking a plus.
