Position Overview:

Holley Performance Products is seeking a motivated and analytical Industrial Engineer Intern to join our team for the summer. This position will assist with optimizing manufacturing processes, improving operational efficiency, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives across production lines. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in process design, data-driven decision-making, and cross-functional collaboration to drive measurable results that align with Holley’s mission to deliver superior performance products for automotive enthusiasts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the evaluation and optimization of manufacturing processes, focusing on cost reduction, productivity improvement, and quality enhancement.
  • Conduct time studies, workflow analyses, and capacity assessments to identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Collaborate with production, quality, and maintenance teams to implement Lean and Six Sigma initiatives that improve efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Assist with layout design and equipment placement to optimize material flow and ensure workplace safety.
  • Collect, analyze, and present data on production performance metrics, including cycle times, throughput, and labor utilization.
  • Contribute to standard operating procedure (SOP) development and documentation.
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects, providing technical and analytical support to enhance process consistency and performance.
  • Support cross-departmental projects that align with Holley’s values of creating the future, building together, engaging fearlessly, and living authentically.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, AutoCAD, and data visualization tools (Power BI or similar preferred).
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, or Six Sigma principles is a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
  • Demonstrated curiosity, initiative, and a passion for innovation in alignment with Holley’s core values.
