Bulk Environmental & Industrial is a fast-growing leading professional transportation and logistics services company providing long-haul transportation, collection, and loading of waste and other materials.
JOB SUMMARY:
The Tipper Operator will maintain and operate the Tipper at their assigned landfill. They will be responsible for safely operating and maintaining equipment.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operates the Landfill Tipper and performs other utility duties as required
- Perform and document daily inspections of the equipment.
- Follow all company safety rules and regulations.
- Communicate and report to the Field Supervisor on breakdowns and operation needs.
- Service, grease, and cleaning the machine on a daily basis.
- Complete company issued training and certifications.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of two years of experience as a general laborer.
- Able to perform general maintenance on equipment.
- Previous landfill/waste experience preferred.
- Must be able to work a changing schedule based on demand.
- Must be able to work on the field when required.
Physical Demands
This position is considered to be mostly sedentary and will require the employee to sit for extended periods of time. It will also require the employee to occasionally stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. They may engage in bending, stretching, reaching, and other motions in the course of a working day. They will be engaged in using office equipment and computers. They may engage in lifting supplies and materials up to 20 pounds from time to time. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to see, talk, and hear.
Working Conditions
This job is located primarily in an indoor office environment with varying noise levels. There may be varying degrees of temperature. The employee may be interrupted from time to time.
