Make a Difference
The Director of Nursing will oversee PCU and Outpatient Services at Community Heart & Vascular Hospital. The Director will oversee strategic planning, business development, clinical outcomes, quality management, and excellence in customer service. This position provides leadership and directives towards the development, implementation, and assessment of programming and policy, and procedures. This position will report to the VP of Nursing/CNE of the hospital.
Exceptional Skills and Qualifications
Applicants for this position should demonstrate effective communication skills with all levels of the organization verbally, in writing, and through technology such as dashboards and PowerPoint presentations.
- Bachelor’s degree of National League for Nursing (NLN), Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE), or Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) accredited school of nursing is required.
- Master’s degree within five (5) years from the date of hire is required.
- Three (3) or more years of progressive management/leadership experience is required.
- Five (5) or more years of nursing experience is required.
- Experience in PCU & Cardiology services is preferred.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice in the state of Indiana, as listed in the Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) is required.
- Certification in a relevant specialty or nursing administration within three (3) years of hire is required.
- Collaborates and builds effective relationships.
- Demonstrates strong negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Independently resolve problems, plan strategically, and think creatively and critically.
- Knowledge of best practices, processes, laws, regulations, tools, and software with the subject matter of the position.
- Strong Analytical skills.
