As a Regional Transport Head (m/w/d), you will be responsible for the overarching regional logistics road map, fully linked to both the regions supply chain plan and aligned with the global supply chain strategic direction.

Your priorities will also include defining the logistics annual budget and priority initiatives for the region to support growth and customer service whilst optimising cost and recognising means to mitigate environmental impact.

 Multiple location: Ashford (UK), Baierbrunn (Germany), Vernier (Switzerland)

Reporting to the Regional Supply Chain Head EMEA, you will:

  • Build the regional logistics strategy, including the design and execution of tactical and operational plans to meet business growth objectives 

  • Lead the deployment of both regional and global initiatives across EMEA to optimise the balance of service level, cost and quality of logistics services

  • Create visibility on priority logistics projects and initiatives within and across the region

  • Define performance and service level of partners and carriers in alignment with other stakeholders (Global, Local and Givaudan Business Solutions)

  • Identify and support continuous improvement programs both with internal & external partners (4PL) 

  • Manage strategic relationships with logistics service providers

  • Follow market evolution/trends of services and costs in logistics 

  • Support the EMEA SC Head to develop a regional talent pipeline for Supply Chain & Logistics across the region

Your success profile includes:

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Operations or Business management

  • Fluent in English, other languages, especially French, would be a benefit

  • Minimum 5 years experience in Supply Chain or Operations, with a strong background in Logistics

  • Progressive experience of people management via either direct or matrix reporting

  • Strong knowledge of transportation, customs and trade affairs topics

  • Understanding of incoterms and shipping terminology

  • Excellent knowledge of supply chain function & processes

  • Strong affinity to systems and analytical tools (SAP, BI/BO, XLS)

  • Robust knowledge on new technologies and automation

  • Experience with large ERP systems

  • Customer focus, problem solving and priority setting

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Experienced analytical and negotiation competencies, with an aptitude and leaning towards stakeholder engagement and utilising influencing skills

  • Proven track record in project and change management 

  • Six sigma/Lean Green Belt certificate preferred, interested and have a natural Continuous Improvement mindset
