Job Title
Global Trade Export ManagerThe Global Trade Export Manager is responsible for ensuring compliance with export-control and sanctions regulations across all jurisdictions where CoorsTek conducts business. This includes the early identification, interpretation, and response to developing regulations. This role advises executive and Tier One Leaders proactively in the regulatory lifecycle to support strategic planning, informed decision making, and business agility while promoting best practices with industry standards.This role is the primary HQ point of contact for the Global Trade Director and Managers on matters relating to export-controls and sanctions.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Maintain compliance with export-control statutes and regulations, and sanctions programs; understand and adhere to global provisions, restrictions, and requirements including U.S. ITAR, EAR, OFAC, Japan METI, EU Dual Use regulations, and multilateral regimes (e.g., Wassenaar Arrangement, Missile Technology Control Regime, Nuclear Suppliers Group).
- Partner with Legal Affairs and Corporate Compliance to assess regulatory and legislative changes and business impacts.
- Establish and maintain corporate policies and procedures.
- Oversee export control jurisdiction and classification determinations, establish escalation procedures for priority or “high risk” items for increased oversight.
- Provide guidance and support on export-control related activities, e.g., applications for export authorizations and licenses, technology transfers, embargo country, restricted party screening, applications for binding rulings, and advisory opinions.
- Develop and communicate options, identify potential risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Participate in strategic business projects, provide insights on relevant regulations, collaborate to identify practical solutions.
- Serve as U.S. Department of State ITAR Empowered Official with independent authority to verify legality of transactions, approve or deny license applications, understand and ensure compliance with provisions of the Arms Export Control Act and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations; maintain U.S. Department of State ITAR Registration.
- Ensure timely response to inquiries from government authorities; ensure proper reporting and record keeping.
- Lead audits and assessments to monitor compliance with policies and procedures, mitigate adverse impacts on the company, work with Global Trade regional managers on corrective actions.
- Participate in periodic Global Trade planning sessions.
- Oversee enterprise-wide training program, coordinate with Regional and Local leads to identify training needs.
- Lead a team to deliver on the highest performance standards and industry best practices, offering solutions to stakeholders, and encouraging continuous improvement.
Job Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, International Business, or related discipline.
- Industry recognized certification or license (e.g., Certified U.S. Export Compliance Officer (CUSECO), U.S. Licensed Customs Broker).
Experience:
- 10+ years in global trade compliance with leadership in export-controls and sanctions.
- Semiconductor export-controls experience preferred.
Functional/Technical Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Strong communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills.
- Strategic leadership, policy development, and cross-functional influence.
- High level analytical ability to evaluate problems, identify options, and determine solutions.
- Ability to foster teamwork with internal and external relationships.
- Internal (International) and external (government agency) audit experience.
- Thorough understanding of U.S. and non-U.S. governmental regulations, especially in semiconductor export-controls.
- Must be able to work with a diverse variety of people from different cultures and backgrounds.

Target Hiring Range
Annual Salary: USD 110,556.00 - USD 152,015.00Actual compensation is commensurate with experience, skills and education.
