The Department of Family Medicine of the Keck School of Medicine of USC provides care for every member of the family, across generations and over lifetimes. We aim to enhance the quality of life for underserved and vulnerable patients while educating future generations of highly skilled, compassionate primary care specialists. Our goal is to combine education, patient advocacy, and
evidence-based research to advance family medicine and geriatrics.

The Project Administrator position for the USC Street Medicine Workforce Development and Education will support the execution of project objectives related to the development of a robust and sustainable street medicine workforce in California and beyond. Under the direction of the Director of Workforce
Development and Education, this position will provide essential administrative and quality assurance support to ensure the smooth operations as it pertains to securing and spending funding, executing deliverables, preparing high level reports, and interfacing with current and future funders. The ideal candidate is a person who is detail-oriented, highly organized, and has the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment with professionalism and excellence.
 

This is a full-time, position at the Alhambra, CA or Los Angeles, CA campus with a minimum of three days on campus, based on division needs. Travel is an expected component of this position which may, in rare circumstances, include weekends.
 

Duties include, but are not limited to:
 

• Assists a principal investigator with formulating research objectives. Administers planning, organization and scheduling activities to meet objectives.
• Develops and implements operating policies, procedures and systems to support planned operations. Ensures these are well-documented and communicated to project personnel and/or other parties.
• Develops and administers project budgets. Authorizes expenditures and monitors account reconciliation and status to ensure compliance with fiscal guidelines and regulations. Prepares the preparation of financial reports as required. Administers ongoing purchasing activities.
• Develops and administers project-focused training and assesses proficiency or readiness of trainees.
• Identifies funding sources and opportunities. Authors technical proposals and/or works with researchers to develop project proposals. Interfaces with funding agencies to exchange information regarding project status and to build and maintain rapport to enhance opportunities for additional funding.
• Plans, develops and implements public relations strategies. Responds to external requests for information. Develops press releases, newsletters, articles and other types of communications pieces. Plans and participates in meetings, discussion groups and other types of events to promote project visibility. Lectures on behalf of the project.
• Coordinates and/or links project operations with other administrative and research functions on and off campus. Serves as a key resource for project information and resolves problems or questions referred by internal and external sources.
• Stays informed of developments in the field. Reads pertinent literature, attends meeting and participates in professional associations as appropriate. Establishes an active network of professional contacts. Remains informed of the current status of completed and ongoing research in related areas.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education: Master’s degree, Combined education/experience as substitute for minimum
Minimum Experience: 3 years/ Combined education/experience as substitute for minimum experiences
Preferred Education: Doctorate
Preferred Experience: 3 years of applicable experience

The annual base salary range for this position is $81,165.76 – $85,000.
