Roving Maintenance Technician

Oaks Properties is looking for a Roving Maintenance Technician to join Oaks Properties DFW portfolio.

About the Role

The Roving Maintenance Technician provides maintenance and repair support across Oaks Properties’ Dallas–Fort Worth portfolio. This role ensures our communities remain well-maintained and supports site teams with special projects, resident work orders, and staffing coverage.

This is not a Lead or Supervisor position. Instead, you will work alongside on-site maintenance teams to help deliver outstanding service to our residents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform maintenance and repair tasks at multiple properties within the Dallas–Fort Worth area
  • Assist property teams with special projects and larger maintenance initiatives
  • Support communities by helping to complete outstanding work orders promptly
  • Provide coverage during staff absences, ensuring consistent service
  • Work collaboratively with property managers and site maintenance staff
  • Follow company policies, safety standards, and compliance regulations

Work Schedule

  • Full-time, Monday–Friday (8 AM–5 PM or 9 AM–6 PM)
  • Occasional evenings or weekends may be required based on project needs

Qualifications


  • 3+ years of maintenance experience working in a multi-family setting
  • Knowledge of basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repair
  • EPA certification required
  • Ability to travel daily to various properties within the Dallas–Fort Worth portfolio
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and reliable transportation required
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical maintenance tasks
  • Basic computer skills
  • Knowledge of OneSite Facilities preferred.
