Job Summary:
The Elementary School Counselor, under the supervision of the site administrator, provides leadership, advocacy, and collaboration to promote student success. This role involves implementing a comprehensive school counseling program that supports academic achievement and personal/social development for all elementary students. The counselor works closely with school staff to implement Positive Behavior Instructional Support (PBIS) through direct student services, preventive group activities, and the effective use of student data. Collaboration with parents, teachers, administrators, and other stakeholders is essential to address and respond to identified student needs.

- Valid California Pupil Personnel Services (PPS) Credential in School Counseling.
- Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s preferred or required depending on district).
- Successful experience working with elementary students, parents, and school personnel.
- Strong ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders and use student data effectively.
- Three letters of recommendation within 12 months
