Specialized Professional Advisor-Arts (Jurupa Hills HS- (Choir Asst/Piano Accompanist- APXC#1634.26 at Fontana Unified School District

Choir Assistant/Piano Accompanist plays a vital role in supporting the school choir program by providing piano accompaniment for rehearsals and performances, assisting with choir instruction and helping manage choir operations. This position requires strong piano skills, knowledge of choral music and an ability to work collaboratively with students and the Choir Director. The ideal candidate is dedicated to fostering musical growth and creating a positive learning environment

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION • High School Diploma or equivalency. • Associate’s degree from an accredited college or university, in Music Arts or related field. • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Music Arts or related field (preferred) EXPERIENCE • Five (5) years of experience teaching music to students in elementary, middle, or high school settings and the ability to implement California Arts Standards for Music. LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS • First Aid and CPR Certificate • Proof of required education certificates • Valid California Driver’s License or ID Note: valid, unexpired certificates are required prior to first day of work Applicants must meet the minimum education requirements at the time of submitting an application.
