About You
The ideal Mental Health Technician has a high level of emotional sensitivity with a keen sense to respond compassionately to changing behaviors. You’re quick to listen, offer support, and adaptive to changing demands, while simultaneously creating a welcoming environment. Your spidey senses are always on 100 and you react swiftly with a supportive and empathetic approach. In times of uncertainty, you seek to understand and are not afraid to ask questions. You’re comfortable working in a multidisciplinary environment, while accompanying the needs of your team. Critical thinking and decision-making skills are key, and you thrive in these areas.

Day In the Life
- Contribute to a warm and welcoming atmosphere
- Create and maintain a safe environment for individuals experiencing a crisis
- Monitor individuals’ behavior, assist with daily activities, and conduct safety checks
- Actively engage with your team, other departments, and individuals and their families
- Observe individuals progress and report any sudden changes in behavior
- Provide accurate and timely documentation in the Electronic Health Record
What You Need to Apply
- High school diploma or GED; Associates degree or higher, preferred
- Minimum 1-year experience providing services to persons with serious mental illness
- Valid driver's license
