Job Description:
As part of the Chassis Active Safety and Durability testing team, testing engineer will be responsible to manage testing and development activities as regards to Complete Vehicle Durability.
The role requires someone highly organized, objectively-focused, and with ability to manage their own daily routine.
- Coordinate and schedule in-cabin radar tests involving human subjects (newborn through adult), ensuring adherence to safety and ethical guidelines.
- Serve as primary point of contact with test participants; manage scheduling, communication, and check-in/out during test days.
- Support preparation of consent forms and maintain accurate participant records.
- Assist with test documentation, including data logging, note-taking, and compiling results into standardized test reports.
- Collaborate with engineers and technicians to align test plans, verify readiness of test equipment, and ensure test protocols are followed.
- Help track project milestones, maintain schedules, and communicate progress/status updates to the broader team.
- Support lab organization and administrative tasks as needed (participant coordination, report filing, scheduling of recurring tests).
Qualifications:
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple schedules simultaneously.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the patience and professionalism to interact with test subjects of all ages.
- Attention to detail in documentation, recordkeeping, and following established procedures.
- Proficiency in using office and technical tools for scheduling, documentation, and reporting (Excel, Word, JIRA, or similar).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced lab environment and coordinate effectively with engineers and technicians.
- Proactive, adaptable attitude with willingness to step into different roles as needed.
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in a technical or administrative field, or equivalent relevant experience.
Additional Requirements:
- Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work extended hours. Mandatory overtime and weekends may be required.
- Willingness to travel (either locally or internationally).
- Possess a valid driver’s license
- Must be physically able to support test preparation and execution in an outdoor environment.
- May require heavy lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Meet all workplace health and safety requirements and practices.
- Follow all company policies and procedures.
- Must be able to stand, bend, kneel, sit for lengthy periods and use hands for various functions such as typing and using various hand tools.
- Must be able to work from hand-written data sheets and memos.
- Maintain a clean office area and work environment.
