TAT Technologies is looking for qualified APU Test Cell Technician. APU (Auxiliary Power Unit) is a turbine engine utilized on the aircraft to provide electrical and pneumatic power during periods when the main engines are not running. Test facilities are specially designed cells with instrumentation use to measuring operating variables of each model. Noise protection and other personal protective equipment required in this area.

NOTE: This is a 2nd Shift Position - 3:00pm - 11:30 pm

Essential Job Functions:

  • Primarily responsible for the testing of APUs.
  • Secondary responsibilities for APU assembly, disassembly and cleaning.
  • Responsible for maintaining equipment related to area.
  • Read and comply with work instructions.
  • Write technical and accurate reports as needed.
  • Work independently of others as well as in teams.
  • Accurately complete work orders, BOMs, data inputs within ERP system.
  • Read and understand Commercial, FAA, EASA, Repair Station, and ISO documentations.
  • Understand and practice safe and efficient productive use of tools.
  • Immediately report to any supervisor any safety, quality or un-ethical actions or conditions they perceive to exist for immediate evaluation and resolution.
  • Operate, maintain and service specialized equipment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by any supervisor in a professional manner.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED minimum.
  • Technical school courses in mechanics is highly useful.
  • Must have strong troubleshooting skills.
  • High level of integrity, confidentiality and discretion.
  • General computer skills required.
  • Read and adhere to verbal and written instructions.
  • Work well with people and communicate effectively (both oral and written communication in English).
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
