Job title: Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialist
Reports to: Deputy Chief Human Resources Officer
FLSA Status: Exempt
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Facilitates and implements all phases of the recruitment process.
- Collaborates hiring leaders to create hiring criteria.
- Manages the end-to end recruitment process, to include sourcing, screening, interviewing, assisting in the development of search committees and advising on the entire search process.
- Uses creative strategies and a variety of sourcing methods to build candidate pools and qualified talent.
- Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
- Assists with job posting and advertisement processes. Makes recommendations on the most effective advertising strategies.
- Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
- Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with hiring managers and other stakeholders.
- Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, start dates, and other pertinent details.
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED (an equivalent amount of training, education and experience will be considered)
- Bachelor’s degree in business, human resources, a related field, or equivalent years of experience.
- Minimum of five years of experience in recruiting in either an HR department, employment agency or similar environment is required.
- Minimum of three years managing a phase of the recruitment and hiring process.
- Human resources certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP) is a plus.
- Demonstrated experience using good research techniques.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES including competencies that may be representative but not all inclusive of those commonly associated with this position.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to negotiate with candidates and hiring managers towards a mutual agreeable solution.
- Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
- Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
- Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
- Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems.
- Ability to make objective decisions using sound judgment.
- Expert interviewing skills
