Mental Health Technician - ACC at Aurora Community Services

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist mental health counselors in providing care to clients in individual and group settings
• Provide psychoeducation to individuals and groups on topics such as coping skills, emotional regulation, stress management, communication, and healthy lifestyle habits
• Co-facilitate or independently lead structured group sessions, as deemed appropriate by clinical staff
• Monitor client behaviors, moods, and interactions; document and report observations accurately
• Support implementation of individualized treatment plans under clinical supervision
• Promote a safe, respectful, and therapeutic environment
• Assist with administrative or clinical support tasks including preparation of materials for groups or sessions
• Maintain compliance with HIPAA and all ethical and legal standards related to mental health care
• Participate in staff supervision and team meetings as required
