About the Role
As a Business Development Intern, you’ll join Swiss Re’s Property & Casualty (P&C) Business Development team, which helps clients solve strategic challenges and unlock growth – especially using reinsurance as a corporate finance tool – by identifying opportunity through industry themes, individual client analysis, and ad-hoc opportunities that drive initiatives to a commercial conclusion.
Key Responsibilities
Join the P&C Business Development team to support strategic initiatives that help clients manage capital and unlock growth through innovative reinsurance solutions. Your work will focus on:
- Preparing financial models, projecting income statements, balance sheets, and capital structures
- Coordinating the development of high quality analytics and client related presentation materials
- Peer reviews to uncover insights on client performance
About You
We are looking for people who want to make a difference! To be successful in this role you will be/have:

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business, Math/Statistics, Sciences, or a related field with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Interest or foundational understanding in corporate finance, capital markets, and re/insurance

Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; Bloomberg or S&P Capital IQ experience is a plus

Confident communicator with solid presentation skills

Self-motivated and comfortable working independently and in teams

Adaptable and eager to learn
The internship base salary will be $20-$30 per hour, depending on location, qualifications, projected graduation year and/or highest degree held.
