Nature of position:            Full time, 12-month fixed term contract.

Location:                             QLD – Fortitude Valley, Kingsgate.

Reporting Line:                  Digital Support Manager  

About the role

As the Senior Digital Support Engineer, you’ll lead the delivery of high-level IT support across Service Stream’s digital workplace. Acting as the primary escalation point for complex technical issues, you’ll ensure the reliability of end-user services while mentoring the support team and driving strategic improvements in technology and processes.

Your responsibilities include managing service desk operations, providing advanced Level 2 and 3 support for hardware, software, and Microsoft 365 tools, and leading incident response efforts. You’ll also contribute to operational excellence through documentation, automation, and process optimisation, while supporting onboarding activities and mentoring junior staff.

Skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.

  • 5+ years’ experience in IT support, service desk, or operations roles.

  • Advanced Microsoft 365 administration skills (Intune, Azure AD, Teams, SharePoint).

  • Strong PowerShell scripting and automation capabilities.

  • Proven experience leading incident resolution and mentoring support teams.

  • Certifications such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator or ITIL Foundation (preferred).
