Intern, Electrical Engineering

Position summary:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Requirements Engineering Intern with a background in Electrical Engineering to join our product development team focused on generator set (genset) systems.
In this role, you will assist in the definition, documentation, and management of system and component level requirements.
What you’ll be doing:
- Assist in gathering and documenting requirements for power distribution and genset subsystems.
- Review and understand engineering standards and regulations applicable to genset systems, including IEC standards, EU Directives, and the Machinery Directive.
- Incorporate compliance requirements into the development of system and component-level requirements.
- Support creation and maintenance of structured requirement documents in PTC Windchill RV&S.
- Participate in design reviews, requirement gathering sessions and technical meetings with multi-disciplinary teams.
- Help ensure traceability between requirements, design elements, and validation test cases.
- Learn and apply standard systems engineering practices used in engine/genset product development.
- Support preparation of requirement verification reports and technical documentation for internal and customer reviews.
Who we’re looking for:
- Current university student or recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Good understanding of electrical/electronic components and basic system integration concepts.
- An ability to apply logical, analytical and innovative thinking.
- Ability to read and interpret general procedures and fluent English speaker.
- Comfortable working with MS Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
