About Midcap
We are a leading independent investment bank dedicated to small and mid-cap listed companies. Our Corporate Finance / ECM team provides strategic advice and execution on a wide range of equity financing transactions, including IPOs, capital increases, private placements, and secondary offerings.
Role Overview
This is an internship in the Midcap team based in Paris, offering an opportunity to support the Corporate Finance team’s day to day efforts, gaining hands-on experience.
Role Responsibilities
Assisting in the preparation of client presentations, pitch books, and transaction-related documentation.
Conducting financial and market analysis on companies, peers, and sector trends.
Supporting the execution of ECM transactions (IPOs, rights issues, ABBs, convertible bonds, etc.).
Contributing to valuation exercises (trading comparables, transaction comparables, DCF analysis).
Monitoring equity markets, investor activity, and market intelligence related to small & mid-cap companies.
Liaising with internal teams (sales, trading, research) to support the placement process
Experience / Competences
Essential
Education: Final year student, pursuing a Master’s degree, ideally from a top business school, engineering school, or university with a specialization in finance.
Fluent (written and oral) in both English and French
Strong academic background in corporate finance, accounting, company valuation, or capital markets.
Excellent analytical and quantitative skills, with proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of financial databases (Bloomberg, Capital IQ, FactSet) is a plus.
Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and self-sufficiency in completing assigned tasks.
Demonstrated interest in equity capital markets and in working with listed small & mid-cap companies.
Team player with strong communication skills and intellectual curiosity.
Desired
Exposure to capital markets transactions and direct interaction with senior bankers and listed companies’s management
