Job Responsibilities
General mission : Assist the factory buyer in the day-to-day work and ensure the supply of raw materials to a panel of predefined references
- Manage the supply of raw materials according to the needs reported by SAP:
- Record and send direct purchase orders to suppliers, ensuring delivery times that are compatible with production line demand
- Follow up on supplier order receipts (verification of deadlines, prices, supplier references)
- Ensure delivery reminders to suppliers if necessary
- In case of non-compliance, manage the return or replacement of equipment
- For EXW suppliers, arrange transportation for the collection of goods
- Assist the buyer in daily operations:
- Send and track consultations sent to suppliers
- Compare quotes from these vendors and choose the most cost-effective option for creating the item in the SAP database
- Assist the quality department in resolving non-conformance issues
- Helping the design office solve obsolescence problems
- Manage commercial commitment contracts with suppliers in order to ensure the price / lead time / stock over a period
- Adjust planning and inventory parameters (reorder point, safety stock, MOQ, etc.) in accordance with service and inventory coverage objectives, based on the supplier data received
- Follow up on invoice issues with the finance department (shared service center)
- Evaluate current processes and see if we can automate them in order to work more efficiently
Job Requirements
Professional experience: supply chain / supply chain / operational purchasing in industry
Technical know-how:
- Technical knowledge (reading plan, nature of components)
- Consultations and purchase negotiation
- ERP Knowledge (SAP)
- Good MS-Office knowledge
- English: Read, written and spoken
Complementary Skills/Abilities:
- Work effectively in a team with high independence
- Ability to work independently and systematically
