1st shift 8am to 4:30pm

$19.75 hourly although wage may vary depending on experience 

Position Summary:

Creates and maintains accurate records of all inventories, completes daily physical cycle counts, and verifies that product shipments and receipts are properly accounted for by working with in-house and client systems to balance inventory to required KPI standards.  

 

Duties and Responsibilities:

Essential Functions:               

  1. Completes daily physical cycle counts to ensure accurate records are kept and availability of product.
  2. Maintain inventory tracking systems producing reports on inventory KPI’s to warehouse and Senior Management using existing WMS and reporting tools. 
  3. Conduct daily analyses of inventory locations to forecast documenting potential inventory shortages or space requirements.
  4. Work with the WMS team, warehouse management and client as necessary to set up new items in the WMS Inventory.
  5. Assists and makes recommendations in the plant layout discussions as necessary.
  6. Implement and/or maintain inventory control procedures and industry best practice.
  7. Accounts for all defective or damaged product and follow appropriate corrective actions.
  8. Conduct all annual physical Inventories as necessary.
  9. Work closely with Operations Manager to create and maintain all SOP’s and DOP’s.

Marginal Functions:

  1. Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times and streamline work processes.
  2. Provides backup support to material handling operators as needed.
  3. Participate in meetings regarding facility layout, process flow, inventory profiles etc.
  4. Operate material handling equipment as required to complete job functions.

Key Skills and Qualities • Attention to Detail: Crucial for accurate data entry and reconciliation of inventory counts. • Organizational Skills: Needed to manage stockrooms and keep records tidy. • Computer Proficiency: Ability to use inventory management software, databases, and other office technology. • Physical Stamina: Often required to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds in a warehouse environment. • Communication Skills: To report issues and coordinate with other teams.

 

Job Specifications:

1.      High school diploma or equivalent, Preferred

2.      2 to 4 years of experience in an Inventory Control, Quality, or related role, preferred

3.      Basic Math and Reading skills

4.      Computer literacy and Microsoft Excel experience, Required

5.      Prefer prior experience operating a forklift

6.      Demonstrated problem solving abilities and experience using Root Cause Analysis

7.      Previous experience in an Automotive Distribution environment, preferred

8.      Previous experience with Continuous Improvement Plans and Lean Manufacturing techniques, preferred.

9.      Familiarity with SOX Compliance Requirements, preferred.

10.   Familiarity with SDS/Hazmat Safety and OSHA Safety Regulations, preferred.

11.   Able to follow specific instructions thoroughly and accurately, and provide instructions to other associates as needed

12.   Ability to understand, follow, and enforce company policies and procedures

13.   Ability to reach, bend, climb and lift up to 50lbs safely as needed

14.   Good hand/eye coordination and motor skills

15.   Able to work overtime, weekends and holidays as needed due to customer demand
