Description
1. Understands and operates Genesis hose machines and downstream equipment (cuffing machines, testers) for production.
2. Housekeeping/organization and stocking of cardboard boxes.
3. Housekeeping/organization of cardboard recycling area; includes ensuring all cardboard scrap is on skids, full stacks are banded and stored in holding area.
4. Correct reporting of labor and materials used; this includes shop packets, process control sheets, transfer sheets, and any other related paperwork as assigned by supervisor, lead person, quality control, or engineering. This includes recording of time in military hours, yards, pounds, feet, or pieces used or produced.
5. Correct packaging of all products; includes use of the date stamp, packed by stamp, use of ink jet printer, skidding of products, stretch wrapping of skids, use of corners on skids. Includes labeling of stretch wrap of skids the order number, pieces, customer name, weight of skid. This includes cleaning, storage, and use of all printing or marking devices. Storage and stacking of finished goods in holding areas or stocking areas is also included.
6. Responsible for the housekeeping/organization of work centers; this includes sweeping, mopping, dusting, and cleaning of work centers, work areas, and related areas of work in the Genesis department or plastics department.
7. Responsibility of all tools assigned to employee. Storage of supplied tools provided by Flexaust. A replacement fee may be charged if lost or damaged.
8. Emptying of all waste containers, including large bins located in each department.
9. Changing of production heads and weld tips. This includes housekeeping and organization of the heads, profile guides and tips.
10. Testing and certifying of hoses. This includes customer required ends and/or end cuts.
11. Reporting of machine maintenance, breakdowns, or repairs done. This includes all required paperwork.
12. Reporting of all accidents and/or injuries to personnel.
13. Daily maintenance of organization of the cuffs and removal of empty boxes, putting away of cuffs when they arrive in, and returning cuffs to racking when not in use.
14. Responsible for safe work area, including prompt reporting of any safety hazards to the safety committee or supervisory.
15. Performs any other duties assigned by immediate supervisor or other management as required.
