Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide courteous, friendly, and efficient food and beverage service during catered events.
- Set up banquet rooms including tables, linens, glassware, and condiments.
- Take and deliver food and beverage orders, including alcoholic beverages.
- Serve food courses and clear tables according to service standards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned stations and service areas.
- Interact professionally with guests, supervisors, and co-workers.
- Complete opening and closing duties such as stocking supplies, cleaning equipment, and storing reusable goods.
- Assist with room turnovers between events.
- Follow cleaning schedules and maintenance programs.
- Notify management of any shift-related issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Banquet Captain or management.
Essential Qualifications:
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 18 years old to serve alcoholic beverages.
- Experience: Minimum of 6 months of banquet serving experience.
- Education: High school diploma preferred but not required.
- Skills:
- Ability to understand and respond to guest service needs.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle interruptions calmly.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of banquet standards, food and beverage service, and safety procedures.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and standing for extended periods.
