Job Description:
Eskola, LLC's Greenville / Spartanburg, South Carolina branch is seeking a motivated individual to join our growing team! The Roofing Laborer supports the efficient and safe execution of commercial roofing projects. This role involves assisting with material handling, equipment operation, and on-site project tasks to ensure timely completion while adhering to all safety and quality standards.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Material Handling and Preparation:
- Assist with unloading, staging, and organizing roofing materials and equipment.
- Prepare work areas by setting up necessary tools and equipment for roofing tasks.
Project Support:
- Collaborate with crew members to execute roofing installations and related tasks.
- Follow detailed instructions from supervisors to meet project timelines and quality standards.
Tool and Equipment Operation:
- Operate basic hand and power tools safely and efficiently.
- Ensure equipment is maintained in good working condition and report any malfunctions promptly.
Safety Compliance:
- Adhere to established safety protocols, wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Assist in maintaining a clean, organized, and hazard-free work environment.
- Participate in company safety training events as assigned.
Physical Demands:
- Perform physically demanding tasks including lifting, climbing, and working in various weather conditions.
- Assist with manual labor tasks as required by project needs.
Additional Duties:
- Support project documentation and report progress to supervisors as necessary.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to contribute to overall project success.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
Experience:
- Prior experience in construction or roofing operations is preferred but not mandatory.
- Basic knowledge of roofing materials and techniques is preferred.
Skills and Abilities:
- Ensure prompt attendance for all scheduled shifts, arriving fully equipped with the required personal tools and personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools.
- Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
- Capable of performing physical tasks in an outdoor environment under varying weather conditions.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Must be able to successfully complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening as a condition of hire.
- Note: Some project locations require employees to be US citizens. All crew members will be required to provide documentation of such prior to first access to the job site.

Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work outdoors and in various weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, walk, and climb ladders or scaffolding for extended periods.
- Must be comfortable working at heights and capable of safely using ladders and other elevated access equipment.
Work Environment:
- This position primarily involves working on commercial construction sites.
- Occasional travel may be required to oversee projects at different locations.
- Ability to travel and work on projects outside of the local area, with scheduled return home every weekend
- Must be able to work in varied weather conditions and in a physically demanding environment.
- Working hours are subject to change based on project deadlines and prevailing weather conditions.
Preferred Skills & Certifications:
- OSHA 10 certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain).
- Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish is preferred
