Compensation and Benefits:

Estimated Hiring Salary Range: $42,072.00 - $55,358.00   Full Salary Range: $4,072.00 - $75,287.00 Annually

About the Role:
As a Heavy Equipment Operator (Residential), you’ll:

• Operate automated collection vehicles and knuckle boom trucks to collect approximately 1,000 containers daily.

• Support other residential crews with yard waste and bulk item collection as needed.

• Respond to emergency assignments such as snow removal, storm cleanup, or other weather-related events—sometimes with little notice.

• Navigate city routes using maps or GPS and communicate effectively via two-way radio.

• Complete daily surveys, vehicle inspections, and service reports with accuracy.

• Demonstrate excellent customer service while representing the City with professionalism and respect.

• Perform physically active work, including stooping, bending, kneeling, lifting up to 50 lbs, and working outdoors in all weather conditions.

• The job is NON-EXEMPT under FLSA.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED 
  • OR an equivalency of 4+ years of experience operating CDL-related vehicles
• 1+ years of experience operating CDL-related vehicles  
• Class A or B Commercial Driver's License
