Potters Resorts Hopton On Sea is the home of the World Indoor Bowls Championships, a place where bowls fans from across the country gather to enjoy the game they love in a truly special setting.
A once in a decade opportunity has come up to join our team as the Bowls Manager, taking the lead on all things bowls for our resident guests throughout the year.
You’ll be the friendly, recognisable face of bowls on resort, welcoming guests, running our tournaments, and keeping the sport’s spirit alive every single week.
This is a full-time, hands-on role for someone who knows and loves the game, enjoys meeting people, and wants to play a part in shaping the future of bowls at Potters Resorts.
Job Description:- Leading the organisation and running of bowls tournaments and events throughout the year.
- Acting as the on-resort lead for bowls, ensuring every tournament is well run, fun, and memorable.
- Being a welcoming and familiar presence for our guests, whether they’re seasoned players or new to the sport.
- Making sure our bowls facilities are prepared, well-presented, and always ready for play.
- Working with our marketing and merchandise teams to create engaging content that celebrates bowls and promotes our products.
- Supporting and managing the Bowls Stewards team, particularly during major events like the World Indoor Bowls Championships.
- Building lasting relationships with clubs, associations, and our loyal bowls guests.
- Bringing fresh ideas to keep our bowls breaks evolving while staying true to what makes them special.
- Working closely with our Groups team to plan, organise, and advise on bowls breaks for clubs, groups, and returning guests.
- This role would suit someone who lives and breathes bowls, enjoys being around people, and takes pride in delivering great experiences day after day.
- You’ll work closely with teams across the resort, from operations and entertainment to marketing, to make sure every bowls break feels effortless for our guests.
- Full-time, year-round position based at Hopton On Sea, Norfolk.
- Working hours will vary depending on tournaments and guest schedules, including some weekends and evenings.
- A strong understanding of bowls, with experience either playing, coaching, or organising tournaments.
- Excellent people skills, confident, approachable, and great at building rapport with guests.
- Strong organisational ability to plan and deliver events to a high standard.
- Comfortable managing or supporting a team during busy tournaments.
- Confident creating short videos or working with our marketing team to promote bowls at Potters.
- Professional, reliable, and proud to represent Potters Resorts as the home of indoor bowls.
