provide services and case management for students who are eligible for special education services. Their role and responsibilities include but are not limited to, assessment, individualized education program planning, and implementation, delivery of specialized academic instruction within a continuum of services, monitoring and evaluating student progress (academic and/or social-emotional behavior); pursuing opportunities for professional growth, providing instructional materials for special education services; serve as a resource for students, parents, district personnel and community organizations. Within our special education department, we have special education lead teachers who support the department in planning and leading the department’s initiatives.
