Assembly Night Shift Supervisor

Diamond Mowers is looking for someone to join our team as our Night Shift Supervisor for our Assembly team. This person would need to be able to effectively communicate with employees and about daily work assignments. They would need to ensure their team understand not only the importance of building a quality product, but that they also understand what a quality product is. This person will report to the Production Manager and is responsible for the following.

 Key Roles

• Train, develop, and build a team to ensure flexibility within the department and coverage.
• Ensure team executes on deliverables set by the Production Manager.
• Effectively build a positive employee supervisor relationship while executing our core values at a leadership level.
• Ensure everyone is aware and follows all company safety policies and procedures, including proper PPE.
• Actively and verbally promote a “Safety First” culture within the department.
• Actively engage with safety discussion with your team and seek feedback from them on safety improvement ideas
• Lead all safety investigations, near misses, and safety issues within your department and drive to find root cause and corrective actions that eliminate the possibility of incidents occurring. 

 Responsibilities

• Understand the daily and weekly demands as laid out by the Production Manager
• Communicate all production issues (build issues, missing material, engineering issues, etc..) to the Production Manager via nightly recap email.
• Ensure products are being built defect free the first time, every time.
• Spend at least 75% of your time working on building equipment or other projects communicated by the Production Manager. 
• Actively seek feedback from your employees and work with them to create a culture of continuous improvement
• Understand all areas of the 60^th Street facility including assembly, paint, and warehouse. 
• The Shift Supervisor is the onsite facilities point of contact responsible for facilities management and ensuring compliance with all safety protocols including facility security and emergency response.
• All other duties are performed as necessary

 Qualifications

• 3-5 years of management experience preferred.
• Warehouse experience preferred.
• Forklift experience preferred.
• General Software knowledge preferred

 Location and Hours:

Location: 60^th St 

Hours: 4:30pm-3:00am

Days of Shift: Monday-Thursday
