Senior Engineer at QED Systems, LLC

QED Systems, LLC, is currently recruiting a Senior Engineer to join our team at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. This position is contingent upon award. 

The Senior Engineer supports all phases of the system lifecycle, from concept development through fielding and beyond, adhering to DoD guidance, IEEE 1220 standards, and PM PNT established processes.

Duties:

• Provide strategic guidance and oversight across all systems engineering activities for PM PNT products. 
• Lead complex integration efforts, ensuring seamless interoperability with current and emerging warfighting capabilities. 
• Responsible for proactively identifying and mitigating program-level risks, driving innovation in PNT technologies, and ensuring alignment with Army modernization priorities. 
• Represent PM PNT at key technical forums and will be responsible for mentoring and developing technical expertise of the systems engineering team. 

Required Skills & Experience: 

• Detail-oriented with excellent technical, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Must have a deep understanding of DOTMLPF analysis and its impact on system design and implementation.

Required Clearance: 

• ACTIVE CLEARANCE LEVEL REQUIRED: Top Secret w/SCI eligibility

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required.  Degree preferred in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or related scientific or technical discipline. 
• Fifteen (15) years of related experience required. 

Travel: 

Less than 20% travel is expected for this position. Travel may include continental United States and outside continental United States locations.

Work Environment: 

This position will be performed in a variety of locations, including but not limited to, government offices, military bases and depots, warehouse/maintenance shops, and/or field environments that include extended periods outdoors.

Physical Demands: 

Physical demands of this position include ability to:

• Be independently mobile.
• Communicate effectively with co-workers and customers.
• Withstand prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and computer use.
• Climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands.
• Withstand exposure to noise from operating equipment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: 

This is a full‐time position, Monday through Friday. Flexibility around core hours. Travel may occur outside of normal core hours.

Estimated Salary Range: $160,000.00 - $180,000.00, annually. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary. This represents the typical range for fully qualified candidates for this position based on experience, geographic location, and other factors. The final offer amount may vary.
