As a Quality Manager at Vinmar Recycling Solutions, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our products consistently meet and exceed established quality standards. You will lead a dedicated quality assurance team, implementing comprehensive quality processes throughout the manufacturing/recycling operations. Your primary focus will be on developing, monitoring, and enhancing quality control procedures to ensure compliance with internal requirements and external regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and manage quality control programs and processes for all production lines, ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of manufacturing processes and products to ensure adherence to quality benchmarks.
- Oversee the resolution of quality issues, conducting root cause analysis, and ensuring corrective actions are implemented effectively.
- Prepare and maintain reports, including finished goods inventory reports, and out of spec material.
- Collaborate with other departments, including production, maintenance, and shipping/receiving, to foster a culture of continuous improvement and quality excellence.
- Manage and mentor the quality assurance team, providing training and support to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- Prepare and present quality reports and metrics to senior management, highlighting performance trends and areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations relating to product quality.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality management, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in quality management within the plastics manufacturing or recycling industry.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 14001) and methodologies.
- Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and quality improvement methodologies (Six Sigma, Lean).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lead teams, influence others and drive change within the organization.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality products.
