QUALITY MANAGER I at Pilkington

Primary Duties:

• Manages the quality assurance function to assure quality production is in accordance with customer specifications.
• Ensures that all practices, procedures, and criteria at the plant meet or exceed all standards and customer specifications.  This position works with customers, corporate personnel and plant personnel to develop quality control and quality improvement programs, procedures, and practices.  The incumbent works with other plant management to assure that quality of product is a priority.
• Audits all production processes, equipment, and employee performances to assure that all prescribed quality procedures are adhered to without compromise.
• Contacts customers regarding quality problems. Complaints are investigated; cause of non-conforming quality is determined and a corrective action to resolve problems is initiated, so that customer needs and concerns are satisfied.
• Manage supplier quality to include glass and components.
• Leads subordinate personnel to provide a competent work force.
• Manages the Ambassador program serving customer plants.
• Ensures compliance to IATF16949 requirements.
• Support continuous improvement, support cross departmental decision making.
• Other managerial duties as assigned.

Qualifications Required:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field
• +5 years related experience in a manufacturing facility
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Excellent problem-solving abilities
• Must be willing to travel
• Previous experience in quality assurance within the automotive industry, preferably Tier 1

Qualifications Desired:

• OpEx experience Green Belt/Black Belt certification
• Certified Lead Auditor

Salary Range: $108,912.00 - $136,147.00
