Description

Primary Function

Leads the Inside Sales function, overseeing activities related to new and existing customer accounts, departmental budgeting, and fiscal performance. Partners with the CEO to develop and execute strategic sales goals and operational objectives.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

  • Conducts feasibility review for new business opportunities and initiates RFP process. Reviews contracts and terms and conditions for all quotes and for new and existing customer programs.
  • Reviews and approves pricing updates and adjustments on existing customer programs. Monitors and audits pricing data.
  • Manages customer order requirements through discrete purchase orders and EDI/portal systems. Reviews changes with customers and updates the ERP system. Performs contract review on all purchase orders and processes credits, RMAs, and returns.
  • Serves as the escalation point for complex customer issues, providing guidance and solutions across departments as needed.
  • Participates in job review meetings and updates ERP system with relevant data.
  • Manages the performance and development of the Customer Service Representatives, Sales Administrative Assistant, and Account Managers. Works with HR to resolve employee relations issues.
  • Develops and manages the departmental budget.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Monitors on-time delivery performance and inventory levels for customer stocking agreements to ensure service accuracy and cost efficiency.
  • Reviews and updates sales-related ISO documents and performs administrative tasks such as running reports regarding customer orders and reviewing daily expected shipments to ensure accuracy.
  • Serves as primary contact for legacy programs.
  • Monitors sales and production forecasts, on-time delivery performance and inventory levels for customer stocking programs to ensure service and cost efficiency.
  • Identifies and manages slow-moving inventory to minimize operational costs 


Requirements

Required Skill/Knowledge

5+ years' experience in manufacturing, (injection molding, stamping, blow molding or similar manufacturing processes), strong ability to lead teams and processes, experience with quoting and quote review. Ability to balance the needs of the business with those of the customer, able to manage multiple priorities effectively, excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to effectively work within all levels of the organization, time management, and ability to work under tight time constraints, 2+ years of supervisory experience, highly organized, attention to detail, intermediate MS Office skills, customer first mind-set, ERP familiarity, ability to read prints, strong math and technical skills, business acumen. experience working with budgets and forecasts.

 Preferred Skills/ Knowledge

 ISO Standards, IQMS 

Education Level / Required Certification: 

Bachelor’s degree in business or related field or equivalent experience and education.
