The salary range for this position starts at $95,000 based on experience and qualifications.

This is an on-site at our Lake Zurich facility.

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Lead and assist in preparing project scopes, cost justifications, and capital expenditure requests for senior management approval.

  • Monitor and control project costs, quality, scope, and schedules to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.

  • Evaluate process requirements, develop project schedules, track progress, and provide regular updates related to the installation of new equipment or improvement of existing production systems.

  • Take a leadership role in designing, developing, and implementing automation solutions within ECHO’s manufacturing operations.

  • Train employees on new equipment and ensure effective communication across all levels of the organization.

  • Obtain competitive quotes for equipment and components, prepare evaluation documentation, and make recommendations based on analysis.

  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineers to identify, plan, and manage new projects.

  • Partner with the in-house automation team to maintain project timelines and deliverables.

  • Complete work assignments according to established schedules with minimal supervision.

  • Maintain organized records, effectively manage multiple concurrent projects, and document cost savings meeting or exceeding annual targets.

Job Experience/Skills: 

  • Proficient in SolidWorks and experienced in project management.

  • Strong understanding of assembly processes, PLCs, industrial sensors, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, robotics, electrical systems, and automation.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Project.

  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Physically capable of lifting up to 70 pounds and comfortable working in hands-on, mechanically oriented environments.

Education: Bachelor's of Science degree in Manufacturing, Industrial, or Mechanical Engineering from a 4 year college or university.
